& Other Stories is a less famous label from the H&M group. It’s a brand that goes unnoticed in the US and seems to be very popular in Europe. I found out about its existence from moving to The Netherlands. Here in Europe, women dress differently. More relaxed and carefree is how I would describe their style. Looking at the everyday style of these women, it made me wonder where are they dressing and who is styling them? Well, the answer is simple; they look no further than a simple brand like & Other Stories.
About the Company
& Other Stories was originally going to be a beauty brand. However, the creative individuals behind the project wanted to project different views and say something more about today’s fashion, hence the name. Now the company has three headquarters — each team in a different part of the world, with a different objective in focus. All products created in different parts of the world are sold alongside each other at the boutiques.
“In each atelier, [we are] designing for the women of our city that we identify with,” says Caity Knox, head designer of the L.A. outpost. -elle.com. The companies approach each team based in Stockholm, Sweden, Paris, France, and L.A, California, designs for the women they know. By combing the products they have made from different parts of the world, they allow the clients to create unique personalized styles. & Other Stories attracts women to their boutiques because it gives the freedom of creation and has a large verity of clothing/accessories.
Quality & Price:
The quality of clothing for the price is exceptional. With price ranges anywhere from 25 dollars for a t-shirt and ending with 500 dollars for a leather jacket. The quality is excellent; most items that I have bought, I wear day after day. The beauty of this under the raider brand is that every piece designed is original— meaning it comes from within: created organically. Buying items here can cost a pretty penny, but these items will be with you for a long time.
