Isabel Marant is a French fashion house established in 1994, by the young Isabel Marant with a vision to dress woman in beautiful yet very comfortable clothing. The visionary designer came up with many well known items that will stay with the brand for the year to come. For example, the wedge sneaker. Remember 2010 when everyone was wearing a version of that shoe (I still have my pair), the good old days. Apart from creating trendy shoes, the brand has introduced a new way for women to dress: Sophisticated yet Relaxed.
My approach on Sophisticated & Relaxed:
My take on Isabel Marant was a dress that I purchased from Saks Off 5th. The gown was on sale, and to some, it might not be the current fashion, however, to me, it was on point. The simple design included long sleeves, loss bottom, and an emphasized waist due to the corset belt. Below are relatively similar dress to the one I have on. Even though they might not be the same thing, they are still equally amazing.
Current dresses that I love by Isabel Marant:
Out of the three gowns, my favorite was the pleated cotton-trimmed poplin mini dress in white. Everything about this dress screamed sophisticated yet relaxed. I envision wearing this piece of clothing for many occasions; it would look great with many layers on or without anything except a cute neckless and large earrings to add little oomph to the overall look.
Similar Dresses to Isabel Marant:
Out of the many dresses I went through, to find similar styles, this was my top/favorite. It’s long flowy sleeves, with accentuated waist and simple yet very chic triangle design make it a perfect dress for any occasion. The Zimmermann sisters know how to create chic, beautiful clothing.
Figue is the definition of exquisite design! The brand creates everything with love and much thought. The relaxed bohemian clothing is meant and designed for anyplace, city, or the beach (trust me, I know). The Carlita dress is that perfect dress, a combination of a sophisticated yet relaxed look.
Alice and Olivia’s dress is similar in design, but with short sleeves. This dress is also something that can be worn on vacation or to an event in the city.
