Since moving to Europe, many things have changed for me. For instance, I don’t have the luxury of shopping at many of my favorite shops — large retailers such as Nordstroms, Saks, and Bloomingdales. However, I do have an unbelievable section of European brands at my doorstep. For example, brands such as Mango, ZARA, and H&M, just to name a few. These fast fashion brands offer a large verity of clothing selection. As well as the price of items is half of what they would coast back in the US, and the quality is great.
p.s H&M is a Swedish company (personally I never knew that until moving to Europe and shopping here more and more.)
Among my favorite places to shop, H&M has gained more and more popularity in my closet. I started to explore this store frequently, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of clothing they offer here in Europe.
Quality:
Just as any fast-fashion brand, H&M has a large variety of quality. Some are great, and some are questionable. The lower price range items will typically have poor quality; however, that may not always be the case. Some low prices items are 100% cotton: t-shirt, camis, and leggings. These items have multi-use and purpose, and cotton will last a long time. Items with a higher price point will typically have better quality, the kind of quality that can last multiple seasons without too much wear and tear. I’m talking about items such as sweaters, jeans, and at times cute dresses.
Price:
H&M has a large verity of merchandise, with a wide range of price points. Some items can coast ten dollars, and other things will go up to two hundred dollars (that’s excluding the Giambattista Valli collection.) For the middle range items priced from 50 dollars to let’s say one hundred dollars, you can find excellent quality clothing, that’s modern and stylish.
Why I’m in Love with H&M Sweaters :
H&M is definitely going for more natural fabrics, breathable, and long-lasting quality. Sweaters with mixed threads such as wool and viscose are what I’m loving. They come in many forms: long or short, puffy sleeves or fit sleeves, loss button, or more form-fitting. Here you can find essential knitwear, as well as fashionable and stylish.
Recycle:
“Did you know that H&M has been offering a garment recycling service across all stores since 2013?” -H&M I did, and that’s the more reason to love this brand: looking out for our environment, no matter how small or large it matters. Companies that strive towards a better future are a gem in my book. I’ll shop with them and recycle my old unwanted clothing. For all the items you recycle (one or twenty,) you’ll receive a 5 dollar voucher for your next purchase or 25 dollars or more. Hey, that’s pretty good, help the planet and your credit card.
Here are a few of my favorite sweaters from H&M:
Here I put together a similar look for you to shop. The sweater I’m wearing is currently available at H&M (at the moment in Europe it’s on sale.) As for the skirt I have on, it’s from ZARA; however, it’s a past season item. But not to worry, I have other skirts picked out for you to match with this sweater. For example, this satiny bell skirt, or this pleated skirt, and this leopard pleated skirt will go great with the beige sweater. Boots I have selected are from Mango; my favorite are the ivory white high leather boots, other boots that will look good are leather cowboy boots or yellow boots with snake leather look and brown leather boots. To make this look perfect put a belt on. Here are three belts that could be perfect, depending on the skirt you chose: hip belt, brown leather belt, and belt with large links.
If H&M isn’t for you, here are three cute sweaters from Amazon:
Let me know where you shop for sweaters and whats your favorite brand?
