Mugler has been a name on my mind seen Kim Kardashian wore the nude water dripping dress to the 2019 Met Gala. Cardi B and the monumental peacock gown she wore to the 2019 Grammys in February. The more attention Mugler got, the more stars wore his fabulous creation. Archival looks by Thierry Mugler were seen at all the red carpets and important events. Rihanna, Nicole Kidman, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé have worn the french couture outfits. Casey Cadwallader, who is the current creative director of Mugler, has inspired many modern trends while embracing the past. His 2020 Spring fashion show rejuvenate a fascination with Thierry Mugler’s vintage work from the ’80s and ’90s. To produce twisted yet very seductive and super glamours line of blazers, tops, leggings, and dresses.
’20 Spring Fashion Show Looks:
Models strode the runway in edgy spring attire with splashes of color here and there; twisted, seductive, and glamour. This idea of all black got stuck in my head, like a headache, and I couldn’t get rid of it. The show left an immense impression on me. Add to that mix one of my favorite trends, “mixing styles,” I was fixated and inspired to create an all-black outfit. Based on my favorites from the f/s and the punk-rock and yet very much romantic trend, I came up with a ZARA/La Perla outfit.
What I mean by Mixing Styles:
Leather and lace, chiffon gown and combat boots, oh, and don’t forget about the bulky jewelry chains and chokers (added to any evening attire for that grungy look.) Designers such as Alexander McQueen, Michael Kors and Louis Luitton have showcased this trend during their spring ’20 fashion shows. The mixed styles go well together.
I was inspired by the fashion show, #hautecouture that much so I had to put something together for a date-night, resembling Mugler. ZARA skirt and blazer combined created the (black dress and black blazer that I loved so much from the show), and the La Perla bodysuit was my way of going all dark and adding a top to this outfit.

Your transformation of the white dress is truly impressive. You have maximized the wardrobe in a creative way that is inspiring me to do the same. Well done!
