Arket is definitely having a moment in my closet. The brand, whose parent company is the H&M group, is relatively young, yet it’s found a way into my heart and wardrobe. I’ve posted Arket favorites to my Instagram account @elle_nadya and on the liketkit app (follow me on the app to shop my looks or get style ideas.) As well I have shot a YouTube video: Spring/Summer Arket Fashion Haul – Sale & Stripes & Everything Nice – for those that love to watch quick fun videos.
About Arket:
Arket is a young brand that opened its first store and launched online in 2017. Today the brand has twenty stores in Europe and ships internationally. I first learned about Arket by a lucky accident. While in Munich last year during Oktoberfest, I unknowingly walked into a cafe featuring New Nordic Food – i.e., healthy eating, healthy leaving. This cafe turned out to be more than a good cup of cappuccino! It soon became shopping for the perfect winter coat and learning about this brand “Arket” that I hadn’t seen before. What captured my attention is first the price point and second the recycled labels on almost all of the coats. It turns out that Arket produces style-conscious, minimalistic, and sustainable-aware, for all the customers who support the “healthy” change in fashion.
Arket describes itself as a modern-day market, and its focus is on well-made, long-lasting, and functional men’s, women’s, kid’s, and homewares.
My Arket Closet:
After learning more and more about the brand, I have slowly started to update my closet, transforming it into a mini Arket showroom. Not only have I changed my closet and the way of shopping, but I also got my mom and aunty hooked on the brand. What makes shopping more accessible and affordable at this brand is their amazing sale- sweater original price $129 sale price $39, dress original price $119 sale price $36, and so on. On discount, you can find many great items with exceptional quality (view the fit of sale items on my YouTube– I tried on many cute and stylish sale items.)
Items that I own aren’t all full-price, some are sale items that I absolutely adore.
To Feel Inspired:
Arket inspires me to shop differently and be more sustainable. The reality is sustainability isn’t cheap, and not all of us can afford the “all about sustainability brands” such as Mother Of Pearl, as a dress will cost you a staggering €665. Now with Arket I can be more Earth healthy (if that’s even a saying) and dress with style.
If you’re ever in Europe, let’s say Amsterdam or Munich and feel like having a coffee then stop by Arket. Hey, how knows maybe you’ll end up drinking more than coffee – just like me!
