You might wonder if I gave up on traveling, not to worry I haven’t. Soon I will embark on a one year journey ( to be revealed), but for now, let’s focus on the current adventures and travels.
Kingston, ON is a place I visit often, and a place that I had to discover for myself— visiting this city often I wanted to eat at the best restaurants, shop at the local boutiques and experience Canadian entertainment. Let’s focus on the food. I mean, we all love a good meal. The four restaurants/cafes I picked out are suitable for different things; some are best for coffee, others have the best sandwiches, and some have it all.
– NORTHSIDE espresso + kitchen:
– NORTHSIDE espresso + kitchen inspired by the Melbourne cafe seen, bringing the laidback vides of Aussie life and the delicious aromas of coffee into Kingston. Adding to their Australian charm, the restaurant offers a delicious food menu with my favorite avocado toasty, or as they call it “Avo Smash.” Experience the coffee culture at this hot spot, as if you are in Melbourne. This location is great for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee to go.
-The Yellow Deli
–The Yellow Deli is where you get a home cooked meal from homegrown produce. This place screams organic, fresh, and healthy. The restaurant not only can cook up a storm, as well as they offer a meal to go. To cater to everyone’s needs, this restaurant has a shop full of organic goodness. Stop by the shop, and take something home. Located not far from the town center on Princes Street, with parking available at the back of the building. This place is great for everything: a good meal, a hot or cold drink, and dessert.
– Gaby’s Cafe
– Gaby’s Cafe has something special that most restaurants don’t. Owned and operated by the same people that cook the food for you. Making every meal as unique and healthy as possible. My favorite item on the menu is the Japanese cheesecake. This cafe is excellent for breakfast and lunch. Please note if you don’t see something on the menu or let’s say you might be a vegetarian like I am the cook will make any adjustments to fit your needs — great food at an affordable price!
-CRAVE Coffee House & Bakery
–CRAVE Coffee House & Bakery great spot for coffee and dessert. All thought this cafe is often overcrowded with Queen’s university students, leaving no room for the general public to enjoy a cup of coffee, I still love coming here. My favorite is a late or light roast coffee with raspberry cheesecake. I love a good cake, but nothing will beat my mom’s home-cooked cheesecake.
