To answer the question, why should we visit a specific location we should start at the beginning by answering one simple question: why is this location important? In this instance, I want to dig into discovering the Town of Lake Titisee, located in the southern part of the Black Forest.
What can you find in this town:
The town attracts many tourists. The main reason why many travel here is to see the lake with breathtaking mountain views. Tour buses pill up here, letting out many picture hungry, and ready to explore tourists. Besides the visitors that are looking to capture the surrounding beauty, many come here to try the local food. Among the wide verity of dishes, the more popular are Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (the black forest cake), the Gugelhupfa ring cake, the black forest ham (a specialty in this area), Venison Baden-Baden (meat), Maultaschen ( large ravioli like dish).

Lake Titisee and the town of Titisee have the perfect location. Not only are they surrounded by mountains making this the ideal hub for anyone that loves winter activities and hiking. This town is between Switzerland and France. Making this a prime holiday getaway for many Europeans.
Why else travel this far to Germany well of course to see the Glacier lake:
Lake Titisee formed due to the melting of Feldberg Glacier. The waters of the glacier are something magical. On a good sunny day, the clear glacier water acts as a mirror reflecting the image of the surrounding mountains. As well, the best part about this lake it’s located right in town.
Great for family activities :
The town of Lake Titisee is an excellent spot for a family holiday. Due to the grown number of visiting families, most hotels in the area have excellent accommodations. Large family rooms are available to rent, or per request, you can add a rollaway bed to your room. Also, all the holiday apartments (Airbnb) are stuffed full of bunk beds. As for activeties, kids, and adults, there’s loads to do. With two activity courses, six different climbing courses, and two zip lines, entertained for everyone. Action Forest Kletterwald gives kids and adults the chance to test their sense of adventure being 21m above the forest floor. If adventure courses aren’t for you, then go on a nature hike across the mountains of Schwarzwald.
The town is an excellent hub for hikers/snow lovers:
Speaking of hikers. This lake town is a great place to spend the night and enjoy all that it has to offer after a long hike or snow activity. Here you can relax, by visiting one of the many cuckoo clock shops, eat at a local restaurant and catch some sleep in your warm hotel room.
